the jot

I'm Julie, an avid writer and reader. I began this blog as a place to post my book reviews, but I hope to share my other writing, thoughts, and experiences here too.

the jot is so named because I want to keep the reviews short and sweet, to give an overview of the book, what I liked and what I didn't, without writing reviews that span paragraphs (at that point, you might as well read the book, right?).

I'm finishing my final year at college, where I study Creative Writing and Professional Writing. I'm currently working on a Senior Thesis of poetry.
